Wangshi Manpulike (fluvalinate)

Description: Plastic strips with fluvalinate for the treatment and prevention of varroatosis in honey bees. They have an acute acaricidal effect on adult forms of Varroa mites.

Application: Bee colonies are treated in the spring (after the first inspection of bee colonies) and in the autumn (after honey extraction), affecting them by placing the plates of the preparation in the hives. It is not recommended to treat bee colonies at air temperatures below 10° C. The period of application of the preparation should last 21-28 days. Treatment is stopped no later than 15 days before the start of the main honey flow to avoid the preparation getting into commercial honey. The plates are suspended vertically in the center and left in the hive for 21-28 days. In the presence of brood, the duration of exposure to the preparation should be increased to 6-8 weeks. In case of overdose, it is recommended to feed the bees with 50% sugar syrup once at a rate of 0.5 liters per family.

Dosage: 1 strip (in two parts) per large or heavily infested bee family. If the mite infestation is weak or the treatment is carried out for preventive purposes, then half a strip is used per family. Before treating the entire apiary, be sure to test the preparation on 2-3 bee families.

Main active ingredient: fluvalinate, 40 mg per strip.

The mechanism of action of fluvalinate is to block the transmission of nerve impulses, which causes impaired coordination of movements, paralysis and death of mites.

When working, you should follow the general rules of personal hygiene and safety precautions provided for when working with drugs. Smoking, drinking and eating are prohibited during work. After finishing work, hands should be washed with warm water and soap. In case of accidental contact of the drug with the skin or mucous membranes of the eyes, they must be washed with plenty of water.
