Name:Benzalkonium bromide solution. 

Ingredients:Mixture of Benzalkonium Bromide and Bromide Dimethylbenzyl Hydrocarbon Ammonium. 

Form and Properties:Colorless or light yellow liquid; aromatic smell, bitter taste. When shaken, foam is formed. Crystallizes at low temperatures. 

Form of release: ampoules.

 Pharmacological action:Shows bactericidal activity against staphylococci, streptococci, gram-negative bacteria (intestinal and pseudomonas, proteus, klebsiella, etc.), anaerobic bacteria, fungi and molds. It acts on strains of bacteria that are resistant to antibiotics and other chemotherapy drugs; it inhibits the plasmocoagulase and hyaluronidase of staphylococci. It prevents secondary infection. It drastically reduces its effect when mixed with soap foam, in laundry detergent, or when mixed with tap water.

Indications for use: European and American rot. Diseases of the brood. Spiroplasmosis (pollen intoxication). Nosematosis. Paralysis.

 Use and dosage: Dissolve an ampoule (1 ml) in 300 ml of distilled water. Spray the bees once, for 3 days. Use the prepared solution for 20-30 honeycombs.

 In winter, mix 1 ampoule (1 ml) with 4 kg of sugar and feed every 24 hours. 

Precautions: Do not mix the solution with soap or disinfectant. Use the prepared solution until the end of the day.
